Our
Founder
Virginia Chain Breakers Inc was founded by Darchie Lewis, a community advocate dedicated to preventing youth violence and breaking generational cycles of harm through prevention, accountability, and support.
Drawing from lived experience and professional training, Darchie Lewis established Virginia Chain Breakers to address the root causes of gun violence, gang involvement, bullying, and unresolved conflict impacting youth ages 10–22. The organization was created to provide early intervention and community-based solutions, focusing on prevention, mediation, and empowerment rather than punishment alone.
Darchie Lewis is a Nationally Certified Registered Peer Recovery Specialist and an Integrated Forensic Peer Recovery Specialist, bringing a trauma-informed, justice-aware approach to youth violence prevention, recovery support, and victim advocacy.
Through Virginia Chain Breakers, Lewis works closely with youth, families, schools, and community partners throughout Hopewell and the Tri-Cities region to help young people resolve conflict peacefully, make safer choices, and build pathways toward long-term stability and success.
